Our Story

In the early 2000’s, a team of nine plastic surgeons at one of the leading burn centers in Europe, led by Dr. Staudt, developed their own unique formula for the cosmetic treatment of scars. Their formula drew upon years of practical experience combined with feedback from 1000’s of patients.
 
In 2008 their hospital pharmacy couldn’t keep up with demand anymore and the team founded Staudt Skincare. Their objective was to create cosmetic skin care products that include the top established ingredients as well as integrate the latest professional learnings.
 
The brand has been expanding rapidly based on customer demand and is now available in a growing number of markets, helping bring a professional level of product experience into the hands of consumers worldwide.

2021

Addition of scar cream 20 ml to the range, an accessible product for a competitive price € 19.95 and extremely suitable if smaller scars need to be treated.

2020
  • Improving the formulation of scar cream; new scientific insights have led to the addition of beta glucan (anti-inflammatory/calming) and a probiotic fiber (hydration). In addition, a silicone was chosen that is suitable for use by young and old.
  • Improving formulation hand therapy balm; To optimize the effect, a stronger calming effect has been achieved in the composition and a high degree of hydration has been added, so that the skin barrier recovers faster.
  • Q-Music radio campaign for scar cream, wound ointment and hand therapy balsam.
2019

Introduction of Staudt wound ointment, a unique ointment based on resin from the Norwegian Norway spruce. A registered medical device that is effective in the treatment of open wounds, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory.

  • Design of the packaging has been further developed, including fresh color scheme
  • Radio campaign at Q-Music for the scar cream and wound ointment
2018
  • Expansion of distribution, achieving national coverage for Staudt scar cream.

Large-scale introduction at Etos on the shop floor and with a commercial on national TV.

2016
  • Drugstore chains spontaneously volunteer to stock the scar cream in stores.
  • Expansion of the range of special version for children and special hand balm. The scar cream Kids contains SPF30 and the silicone has been replaced by a beeswax. The Hand Therapy balm is especially for hands - such as those of surgeons due to regular washing and disinfection - that are subject to extra strain.
2013
  • First large-scale production with multiple products in the range, including a cream with SPF30, making us the first to market this combination.
  • Delivery to customers, including hospitals, pharmacies and clinics in the region.
  • First consumer brochure  with many practical examples to underline the effectiveness of the cream.
2012

Launch of website and start of online sales – www.staudt.nl
